Spring arrived, and with it the Cherry trees began to bloom. They are Vancouver's success, and they usher in the arrival of this season that brings life back to the city after winter. <\/span>

<\/span><\/span>Vancouver's original 500 cherry trees were a gift from the mayors of Kobe and Yokohama in the 1930s, today there are more than 40,000 cherry trees full of pink and white flowers everywhere.\u00a0

<\/span>Every year to celebrate this arrival, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival takes place, where we have some events and activities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>

Sakura Days Japan Fair \u2013 VanDusen Botanical Garden
<\/b>Apr 13, 2024 \u2013 Apr 14, 2024<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The \u201cSakura Days Japan Fair\u201d is an event to celebrate everything Japanese, the cherry blossoms or \u201cSakura\u201d as they call it is a very important event for them. At the event we will immerse ourselves in culture, with lots of food, drink, Japanese performances, music and art.<\/span><\/p>

They have a traditional tea ceremony and it is one of the few activities that takes place indoors, along with other selected experiences. But most of the activities will be outdoors, for the whole family to enjoy among a huge number of cherry trees in VanDusen Park.\u00a0

Queen Elizabeth Park: <\/b>There you will find different types of cherry trees, they bloom until the end of April, it's wonderful. As you walk through the park, you will find not only the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms, but also other flowers that are beginning to appear. And towards the middle of spring, they have a rose section that is incredibly blooming and charming. The park also has a wonderful panoramic view of the city, making it well worth the trip.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

VanDusen Botanical Garden:<\/b> One of Vancouver's most beautiful parks to visit, it is also filled with Cherry Blossoms this early spring. There are more than 20 types of trees, and more than 100 cherry trees. This park is not free, but it is well worth the visit, there you will find a huge variety of other trees and flowers, it is a half-day tour, because there is a lot of park space to explore, I advise you to go with sneakers very comfortable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Gary Point Park: <\/b>In Steveston, a neighborhood in Richmond, there is this wonderful park with so many cherry trees, there are many in one place, it is beautiful to see. It's a little further from downtown Vancouver, but it's well worth the visit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
